QUESTION:
I hope this goes to the radio show (3-6-10 at 1:45PM) If texting is so bad....why is is it legal (according to the Ohio Revised Code) to be a deaf person and still be allowed to drive but, wearing headphones is illegal? Isn't a Bluetooth headset just as distracting? -Ed, Reynoldsburg
ANSWER:
I would say it's because a deaf person can't help it and still has to drive. I bet that person would never text while driving if he or she was able to get their hearing back. I don't know what the answer is when it comes to texting while driving but I know I don't want our government enforcing more laws we have to deal with.
